FX & Commodity Almanac

Privacy policy · updated 16 Oct 2026

What data does this site collect, and how can you opt out?

We do not ask for accounts or store what you type into the calculators. Google Analytics loads only when configured. Advertising is disabled by default. If enabled later, these services may use cookies subject to the required consent controls.

Who is responsible

The FX & Commodity Almanac (forexcommoditynews.online). Contact: contact@forexcommoditynews.online.

Calculators

The historical converter and percent change calculator run in your browser. Values you enter are not sent to us. The converter downloads the public ECB rate history file from this site.

Google Analytics 4

When enabled, Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location (country/city derived from IP address, which Google does not store for GA4), device and browser type, referring site, and events such as using a calculator or clicking a link to an official source. We use this to understand which pages are useful. Google processes this data as described in Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Google AdSense and third-party cookies

Ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ad performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. Learn more at how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google’s Ad Settings or, for many vendors, at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Advertising is disabled by default while consent setup is unverified. A Google-certified consent management platform must be configured and verified before advertising is enabled where required. This page does not claim that a consent banner is currently installed. Browser settings can block or remove cookies.

Other visitors

Elsewhere, analytics and advertising storage is enabled by default. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and use the opt-out links above. US residents can exercise state privacy rights (such as opting out of “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising) through Google’s ad settings and the industry opt-out pages above.

Server logs

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and protect the site, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.

Retention and your rights

Analytics data is kept for the shortest retention period Google Analytics offers for our property settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data or object to processing; write to us and we will help, or contact Google directly for data it controls.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update this page and its date when practices change. See also the terms of use.
